Holiday Wish AND Request for Blog Members!

Thank you all so much for joining, reading, commenting and participating on my blog. I appreciate every one of you. I wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season and many blessings in the future!
And speaking of the future, my plans are to begin featuring several small businesses over the next year. In return, I'm hoping these business owners will provide the blog world with usefull and motivational material to encourage others in their businesses and lives as well. My mission is to help bring more awareness to the hand made movement and small businesses who are trying to succeed in today's economy. I hope to accomplish this by linking websites, blogs, or fan pages to the cyber public in order to help boost sales and build credibility. While I do believe in the importance of world trade, I also believe in supporting our own economy and citizens too.
My request is this: If you have educational, motivational, and interesting information you could share with the public, please email me and let me know if you would like to contribute toward this project. Short tutorials, how-to projects, business tips, interesting stories or facts, recipes, give aways,...etc., are some of the things I'm asking for.
Years ago I mailed out quarterly newsletters to my customers, and sponsors could reserve an ad on the back page for free providing they could submit a helpful or interesting post to my readers. Some examples: A hairdresser told how to remove chlorine from hair during summer swimming, a local diner submitted a favorite recipe, a wood shop explained how to remove furniture spots and rings, coupons were offered, I submitted a coloring contest for children,... and the list could go on and on.
You may comment here and tell me if you would like to be considered (please make sure I can get in touch with you!) and Etsy owners can convo me to say the same. I will compile a juried list and contact you with my idea for your feature post on my blog. Please do not submit any ideas at this time. This is still a work in progress! Hope to "see you aboard" this mission! Thanks!

We have a Winner!

A MERRY CHRISTMAS GIVE AWAY!!!

I know, I know, I just had a Give Away last month in honor of Thanksgiving, but hey, now it's Christmas! Isn't that what Christmas is about? Giving? So I'm giving away a Hairbow Hanger and three hairbows to go along with it! This offer won't last long because I would like to try and get this in the mail in time for Christmas! There are no real rules, just comment and tell me about one of your most favorite memorable Christmas mornings as a kid! I would love to hear!

In order to participate in the Give Away, you must be a member of this blog. I invite you to join! Winner will be announced this Tuesday night around 9 p.m. Central Time. Tell all your blogging friends!

Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse for the Holidays!-Gift Box Idea

From Trash to Treasure-
Love it when I can REDUCE, RECYCLE, and REUSE!
If you want to get a little crafty and creative this Holiday Season, try looking around your house for reusable items you would normally throw away. For this project I’ve used a large coffee creamer container. Ice Cream containers work well too!
Gather your supplies, you won’t need many, think of a design, and start creating! Cover with fabric, left over wallpaper, gift wrap, or even spray paint!
Use your imagination! Creativity is a wonderful stress reliever!
Here I’ve created a reusable gift box. Hair bows fit perfectly stacked inside! Socks, candy, a sweatshirt, …you get the picture!

Got a creative decorative Holiday recycling idea you’d like to share? Comment and let me know how frugal you’re being for the Holidays!
